• The company annual meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 20, 2008 @ 1:00 pm.  It will be held at Brad & Peggy's house.  Items for discussion include:

  • Finances

  • Event schedule

  • Dues

  • Membership & Recruiting

  • Affiliations

  • Unit Support

• If anyone has a current copy of a Camp Chase Gazzette or Smoke & Fire News that includes a calendar of upcoming events, please bring it along to the meeting.

• Joe Rogers and Laura of the 19th Ga. will be joining us in camp for the Cold Harbor event.  They have also offered to cook for us for the weekend, providing 3 meals Saturday and 2 meals Sunday and snacks in between.  Cost is $12/person for the weekend.  Let Brad know ASAP if you are interested in order to get a "head-count" to Joe.

• Farm Museum Registrations are due.  Please get your fees into Brad now!  Cost is $5/Adult and children are free age 12 & under.  This is the weekend of May5 & 6.

• Please let me know who is interested in going to the Neshaminy event.  Registration is $7/person due April 1 and $10/person April 1-20th.  This is an ANV max effort event but is not a company event.  If enough members attend it could turn into a company event, but please let Brad know now!!

• New Market, Va is also due now!!  This event is scheduled for May 19-21.  Get you fees into Brad now!  This event is $12/person thru 4/30/07.  This event is scheduled for May 19-20.

• Upcoming events that require registration include Neshaminy & Farm Museum.  Neshaminy is not a company event, but if anyone is still interested in going, Brad will send in the registrations.  Let him know ASAP for either event.

• Remember, the Cape May event is September 15-17.  This is a free event that is hosted by Mike Snyder's group (Mike is the Lt. Col. of the 5th).
• Everyone should have seen the e-mail regarding the event in Elizabethtown, Pa scheduled for November 4-6.  If you are interested in attending this event, please let Capt. Brad know and he'll get some registrations put together.
• If you have anything to put in the newsletter, or, you would like to see something in the newsletter, get in touch with Joey.  He is the current newsletter editor.

• An event is being put on our Schedule for September.  It is the Pitzer's Woods event in Gettysburg, Pa.  The dates for the event are September 30 and October 1.  This is a free event and will take place at Pitzers Woods on the National Park grounds.  The event is a living history and we will get alot of exposure to the general public.  This can be a good recruiting event.  Please inform Brad if you are interested in going.

• This is the last week for taking registrations for Cedar Creeek and Liberty, New York.   So far we have only 2 soldiers signed up for Liberty, New York and 3 soldiers for Cedar Creek.  Come-on folks!, lets get some more of you signed up!!
• Please be aware that two registrations listed below are due by the end of this month.  Get those registrations in!  Also, for Cedar Creek, it is helpful if you go to the site download/print the release form, fill it out, sign it and send it to Brad with your fees.  This way he is not always signing releases for you!...but if you don't get them to him he will continue the same process we have been.

• Brad's ankle is healing well but slowly.  Should be as good as new for 1st Manassas!
• Friday evening, May 12, Brad fell down a flight of steps and broke his ankle.  IT HURTS!!  The ankle is splinted and wrapped and the pain killers are pretty good!  He will be seeing an orthopedist on Monday to determine what needs to be done.  He will still be attending events but will not be able to go out on the field...at least for the events in the very near future.  All in all he's fine and hobbling around on crutches.

• Those of you registered for the New Market event should be receiving your medallions via mail.  If you have not received your medallion (which is a wood disc) by the end of this week, please let Brad know ASAP!  These medallions will serve as your pass to get into the event.  Along with the medallion should be information for the event including times to enter camps for unloading and the event rules.

• Dave & Sherry Redden were hitched on Saturday, June 17th.  The wedding was held outdoors in the beautiful mountains of Virginia near Round Hill, Virginia.  Congratulations from the 24th to the two of them...and Katie!

• Dave Redden has made a proposal of marriage to Sherry Shields...and she has accepted!!  The wedding is planned for June 17th.  Congratulations to both of them!!
